Saturday was my birthday! I chose to celebrate by taking mom and Raven to the local Fake Festival.
BEST. DECISION. EVER!!!
If you don’t know what a Fake Festival is, it’s a music festival with tribute bands only. We saw the likes of Really Hot Chilli Peppers, Kazabian and The Fillers.
Rock is my music of choice and this was right up my street. And Raven’s.
I initially drove there because getting a taxi proved impossible. That meant reduced alcohol intake. Damn it!
Between shows, we sat outside, on the grass soaking up the sun and eating some surprisingly great food! Fresh, crispy pizza and hog roast. Yum!
I noticed mom was tired and offered to driver back. Raven and I rejoiced at being able to finally get a taxi to return.
We stayed until the last show. It was past 11pm when we left, again no stupid taxis around, so we started walking in the direction of the hospital where there were bound to be some.
We ended up hopping into a bus when I checked it would stop at the interchange, from where I knew how to get home.
We met girls in a hen party and tattoo enthusiasts in love with my design. Even more fun!
We got home past midnight. One of the best birthdays I’ve ever had!
