We don’t celebrate Thanksgiving in the UK for obvious reasons, however, as most of my readers are from the US, I thought I should join in the celebration.
There are many things I am thankful for, even after a very difficult couple of years.
My daughter is number one on this list, of course. She’s my best friend, my biggest supporter and my partner in crime. Because of her, everything I’ve been through makes sense and there’s no regret. Because of her, I’m moving on with my head held high.
I am thankful for the friends I have made in this journey of self rediscovery. They are people who have accepted me as I am. They listen to me when I’m moody and make things better. They put up with my naughty banter, maybe even like it, and my dirty jokes.
I am thankful to live in a country that allows me to fully express myself, a country that encourages diversity. It has its hiccups – *cough cough* Brexit – but I love its values and its beautiful human beings.
I am grateful for having an outlet (or two) for my thoughts: WordPress, with its wonderful community, who takes me at my most raw; Wattpad for giving me a space to use my imagination and create stories about real people and real modern life.
Thank you, my readers!
