I think I have mentioned here that I look younger than I am. Proof is that I turned 40 and got asked for my ID trying to buy beer at the pub a couple of months ago. That wasn’t the first time in the past few years.
My reaction? I absolutely LOVE it! After I manage to control my laughter and present my ID for the person to start calculating – 1977… HOLY SHIT! I’M SORRY! – I thank them and make sure they know they have made my day, month, year…
Raven has introduced me as her older sister before and called her grandmother ‘mom’ all through our trip to Portugal. No one has ever batted an eyelid!
It has led to a few awkward moments too, like when an elderly neighbour asked me how my dad was. He was referring to barely husband, who is only four years older than me. I had to really focus not to laugh then. When I told BH he was pissed off. HAHAHA!
Anyway, this week I went to a restaurant with Raven. We ordered our drinks and waited, chatting at our table. A waitress, not the one who took our order, comes back with our drinks. She gives Raven the beer and me, the coke.
After the girl left, I burst into my usual laughter and Raven was ‘Bitch, I’m triggered!’
What was annoying when I was 18-25, is now a massive confidence booster.
Zara, my fellow blogger, says we need friends with benefits. At this rate, I might get a very young one. π€·π»ββοΈ

Haha I’ve had the same experience, although its a few years back now lol and probably wont happen again. It’s definitely a confidence booster that screams “Hell yeah, I still got it” π

That’s why I always laugh. I’ve seen people get annoyed by it. I love it!
