Today is Doncaster Pride and I am here with my mom, in her first ever LGBTQ+ event.
Our relationship has come leaps and bounds over the past couple of weeks and this is the icing on the cake.
Raven would love to be with us but her dad would never allow us to take over ‘his day’, especially not for something that reminds him of his current hate for me. I’m sending her pictures and she’s so excited.
Raven said she hopes I find someone. When I pulled a face, she laughed and said she meant friends to be out with and potentially develop into something else. I’m alright with that.
That is so awesome and what a milestone. I’m happy for you and it must be a huge relief. Im hoping to have a few when I go home to Germany next month and that I can build on my relationship with mom. Hugs

I hope that for you too. It feels amazing! She loved it and it means a lot.

I can only imagine and how special this must have been. Thank you my friend, we shall see.

I hope you had a lovely time, and felt the Queer love! How wonderful to share it with your Mom; I hope she felt the love too. There’s a great freedom to be felt when ‘the community’ comes together to celebrate; hopefully next year you can share the day with your daughter as well : )

We had a great time. Mom was impressed with all the happiness. It was full of families, all very friendly. We couldn’t stay too long because of her knee problem and I noticed she was struggling. On our way home, she thanked me for taking her. It was very sweet!
