I felt really terrible when I learned about the terrorist attack on London Bridge and Borough Market. Like Manchester, they are two places I have frequented before.
Today I learned that one of Raven’s friends lost her dad in that attack. His name has not been made public yet but he was one of the seven victims.
Mandy** was one of Raven’s first friends when we moved to Yorkshire. She was in my house last weekend for Raven’s birthday. I chatted with Elle**, her mom then.
It’s another attack that, like Manchester, hits close to my heart. I can only be there for them as a friend.

Bloody hell! Such a shit time in the world right now… I’m sorry for everyone’s losses, especially our children, who are learning to feel such unease. But I guess that’s the reality of children all over the world- we mustn’t forget that.

It is shit. The three attacks this year have all happened in places I’ve been to on many occasions, the last one with a victim I knew. It’s scary!
