FIRST WEEKEND ALONE

In one of the downsides of the split, Raven will spend weekends with her dad. Thank heavens he was working last weekend or I’m sure he would have tried to sabotage our girly time.

This week she is off school – it’s half term week – and he decided to take two days off to be with her. She’s gone from today.

I will definitely miss her but she has spent the day sending me cute messages and she usually enjoys the time with her dad. He tries to actually do some things she likes and showers her with presents.

There are things she’s still not comfortable talking to him about but there’s no doubt that he loves her and she knows that. He’s not a bad father; just not a very open minded one.

I’m still busy with work today and tomorrow but the big test starts Saturday. I don’t know where it’s going but my ‘imaginary friends’ and a glass of wine should see me through. 😉

  1. I will have a glass of wine with you! Try not to focus on it. Get immersed in a book, or movies, take a long walk. Just tell yourself she is out with her friends. Hanging out by yourself does get easier. Hugs.

Cheers to the wine! I’m more than halfway through and it hasn’t been bad. I speak to her at least once a day and we swap messages throughout the day. Besides, my ‘imaginary friends’ are always present. Thank you!
