3 DAY MUSIC VIDEO CHALLENGE – DAY 3

This is the final day of my challenge set by my dear Rhapsody Bohème . We’re back to the 80s! The era of big hair-dos and fashion statements (hardly ever in a good way).

I grew up in the 80s so it is bound to have influenced some of my taste. The carefree, often politically incorrect, or just plain wacko music and their videos. I love all that as I do have a sense of humour!

I wanted to end this challenge with some hope so why not? Broken wings by Mr.Mister is a song I always loved. The chorus is just hope:

Take these broken wings and learn to fly again and learn to live so free.

And when we hear the voices sing, the book of love will open up for us and let us in.

Hell knows how much I want that! Nothing more to say…

Except I always seem to find an alternative version somewhere. Haha! That’s me for you!

This version is by Kiwi singer K’Lee. It’s a completely different beat, moodier but very soothing. On my gym attempts it was one of the songs used to end Body Jam lessons. She added a bridge to it which is just a shout out to reiterate the message and I love how she sings it.

Take these broken wings and fly away; learn to live and love for another day. Let’s fly!

Oh, child, things are gonna get easier. Oh, child, things will get brighter!

I’ve seen Mister Mister in concert during their tour in support of the album featuring this song and one other hit from it. Great selection for your final day!

Thank you! I’ve always loved that song. I never had the opportunity of seeing them in concert but I’m sure I would have loved it.

When you are old as old as dirt (like me) you can tell the younger generation you saw bands / performers (now, long gone) on stage . That is clearly an old person-thing. My stepfather told me of seeing Elvis. My mom saw concerts of little known acts such as some guy named Hendrix and a bamd from Liverpool.
